About the Lakewood Ranch Community Foundation's Grant Process

Established in 2000, the Lakewood Ranch Community Foundation (LWRCF) serves the people and interests of the Lakewood Ranch community and allows donor-allocated foundations to stay in our region, supporting a variety of charitable interests. Until 2021, grants were made by the LWRCF through the Manatee Community Foundation. In 2021, LWRCF received its own 501(c)(3) exemption and is now responsible for all grant awards. The Grants Committee comprised of board of directors and community members along with the executive director of the LWRCF are responsible for seeking out donations, reviewing grant applications and distributing funds.
